In Hawaiian, the word hōʻike means "to show, exhibit" one's learning. In this spirit of celebrating growth and accomplishment, the State Public Charter School Commission's Early Learning Team gathered with pre-K teachers and educational assistants from all 18 classrooms to share their learning.

This past April, under the protective embrace of the Koʻolau mountains, kumu arrived at Windward Community College, each carrying artifacts to share their stories of learning. Teaching teams carefully arranged keiki books, photographs, and laptops displaying short video reels on tables and easels. Throughout the morning, early learning teams took turns sharing their successes, and as their peers listened and provided feedforward, their stories grew in meaning and strength.
