OFFICIAL CLOSURE NOTICE OF KAMALANI ACADEMY FOR SY 2025 - 2026
On March 13, 2025, the State Public Charter School Commission (“Commission”) held a General Business meeting that included an item pertaining to Kamalani Academy, Agenda VIII: Action on the Decision of Nonrenewal of the Charter Contract approved on January 23, 2025, General Business Meeting.
The Commission exercised its powers, duties, and liabilities outlined in HRS §§302D-5(a)(6) (Authorizer powers, duties, and liabilities), 302D-17(c)-(d) (Ongoing oversight and corrective actions), and 302D-18 (Renewals, revocations, and non-renewals), to take action on the renewal application and decision for Kamalani Academy.
The last student day is May 30, 2025, the last day for 10-month teachers is June 2, 2025, and the charter contract will close on June 30, 2025.
